About Us
Mission:
Evans-Carlson Counselling believes in supporting individuals and couples in the growth that will help them take the next step towards health and wholeness.

Special Issues In-Focus:
Each person coming to counselling has their own unique concerns and presenting issues. We value meeting each individual and couple with an individualized approach to their situation. Some of the following are specific individuals or issues that may find our services helpful.

Inclusion:
The Evans-Carlson Counselling clinic will not withhold services from any individual or couple based on gender, age, religious and/or political affiliation, sexual orientation. An individual or couple may be referred to another clinician if it is deemed best to meet the client's counselling goals.

Our Counsellors

Colin Evans:
Colin was born and raised in British Columbia. Rarely one to sit still long; he enjoys running, biking, and snowboarding. His love for travel, motorcycles, and road-trips have led him around the world, mainly to places with more sunshine.

Credentials and Training:
Colin Evans is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. He completed his Masters in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

Therapeutic Approach:
Each client comes with their unique situation and counselling goals. Colin enjoys using an integrative approach to match each client. For short term counselling, Colin utilizes cognitive-behavioural therapies and solution-focused work. For more in depth work, he often draws upon narrative therapy and a combination of expressive therapies.

David Carlson:
David enjoys all that BC has to offer in hiking and camping. He also enjoys several artistic pursuits such as dance and art. A nerd at heart - comics, fantasy, and science fiction - have always fed his imagination.

Credentials and Training:
David Carlson completed his Masters in Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University. He is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

Therapeutic Approach:
Working with couples is a passion for David. He enjoys the challenges and opportunities that couples bring when working on improving their relationship. Emotion-Focused Therapy informs David's work with couples, helping them re-build attachment and connection with each other. Working with LGBT individuals, David values helping them explore all parts of their identity and building positive coping skills for the stress of being a sexual minority.

Costs:
15 Minutes Phone Consultation about Possible Services: Free
Individual Session: 50 Minutes - $120 Can
Couples Session: 90 Minutes - $160 Can
 - All Fees Include Applicable Taxes

Billed in Canadian Dollars.
